Halloween Parade

The daycare held its Halloween Parade today and the kids were all dressed up and ready to go. They look so sweet. Maybe not too excited about it but cute all the same. Zander was a pirate and Owen was a puppy dog. :)

Shouldn't we all be sleeping?

It has not really been all that cool during the evenings but Zander decided that he needs to sleep in his one piece snuggly jammies with the sticky feet. He is posing for me in the kitchen and then he and Pappa decided to do a little fighting...just to top off another fun day!

Vacation Days

Mamma is using a few of her remaining vacation days this week. Things to do: errands, clean house, hair cut and manicure (gift certificates!), family dinner, put feet up, reading....lots of very important things to take care of. :)

I hope I do get a little bit of time each day to relax or nap; Lord knows I need it.

Bubbles!!

We broke out the bubble wand and went nuts outside in the sunshine and chilled air. What a beautiful day for bubbles! Owen wanted to join us but he watched from the doorway. One day he will be able to play too.

We always knew Zander was a crazy kid but this confirms it!

Well, WE thought it was cute but Owen had other plans...

Thoughts....

Work, work, work...get thrown a little money here and there in an attempt to pay expenses each month but keep falling short.

When can we enjoy our lives instead of waiting for something?
When can we stop feeling sick when we think about our pay and our bills and our schedules?
When???

This is not a way to live. Or...to live but not to love life. Most of us live this way but I want something more. I want to wake up smiling and looking forward to the day rather than holding back tears of frustration. I want happiness. I want....

Tub time

If Owen hears the water going in the bathtub he sprint crawls over so he can splash in the water. Good thing Pappa is watching over him so he doesn't take a dive. I hope the kids continue to like baths so they won't be the "smelly kid" in their class. :)

Play Date!

Last night we had a play date with Zander's friend, Sebastian, who did not want to be in any photos so I had to sneak a shot when he was looking at Owen. The boys had McDonalds, dressed up in costumes, watched a little TV and had fun (while they fought over toys and annoyed each other). Oh well, Zander said he had fun. :)

Just something...

This week we were all back to work and school and back to the hustle and bustle of life. We are trying to have fun too. Zander is having a playdate with his best school friend, Sebastian, today and he is very excited.

Tomorrow Elmo will be at school to take pictures and play. Then later that night is our weekly Family Dinner which is always a great way to end the week and begin the weekend.

Saturday is the South African POTJIEKOS COMPETITION 2009 and we are looking forward to having fun in the 90 degree heat of the afternoon (good thing there is a pool there)!

Sunday will be beach unless we need an indoor air condintioned day to recover from Saturday. :)
